Relationship breakdowns can be highly emotional and at times traumatic, even more so where children are involved. 

It is our goal to assist you to manage your separation as quickly and collaboratively as possible, minimizing undue stress, and achieving the best possible result for you and your family.

We can assist you with every aspect of your family law matter from separation to divorce, including  property settlement, spousal maintenance, parenting and child support. 

We are also able to assist in more involved matters including those involving significant asset pools, trusts, business interests, inheritances, relocation and other complex issues, as well as matters which involve family violence and abuse.

We offer the first consultation (15-minutes' duration) at no charge, with no obligation. 

In Australia, parties need to be separated for at least 12 months and 1 day to apply for divorce. 

 If you have been married for less than two years and wish to apply for divorce, there are further requirements with which you must comply. 

Whether your divorce is straight forward or complex, follows a long relationship or one under two years, we can assist you with every step of your application until it is finalised, whether the application be individual or joint.

Once you have obtained a divorce, there are time limits in place to commence property settlement. Any arrangements regarding the distribution of property, and any parenting issues, are dealt with separately to an Application for Divorce.

 If you are or have been a victim of domestic violence, we are able to assist you with applying for a Domestic Violence Order. We can take away some of the stress which comes with involving the Courts, and help you achieve the level of protection needed by working with you, and, where appropriate, appearing on your behalf at Court. If the Police have taken out an Order on your behalf, we can also provide ongoing support and advice throughout the process to keep you informed.

If you have recently been served, early involvement is critical, particularly where Police are involved. We can appear on your behalf at Court and guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you continue to understand all that is happening, while working to achieve the best result for you.
